Eleven strong today! Lots of honks and waves, a few downers,  and one old coot said “I don’t carry a gun because of people like you.” Jeff and I both said, “What did you say?” He repeated then drove off. Interpret that as you wish. We just shook our heads and got back to the important task at hand.

One of our cohorts commented that she felt a change in the atmosphere, that our group seemed more spirited and excited to be there, that everyone was genuinely happy to see each other.  

It was a good gathering! Thank you all.

We often get a few negative responses. Sometimes, we receive direct threats. This video captured a man who really wanted to stoke violence.

Not engaging is our go-to response. However, we now can capture these moments on our body cams.
